Building confidence through performing…
There are several reasons why Bella Musica studio members come for lessons – from the general to the really specific and quirky. But, the number one shared goal of the members of this studio is to gain confidence with their instrument(s) in order to perform. There are many ways to work on increasing confidence as a musician, but one of the best ways is to build confidence through performing.
Studio members desire to learn how their instrument works and how to effectively and efficiently work their instrument in order to avoid unwanted surprises in performance. But the ultimate goal is to be able to share their artistry and who they are with the world! Everyone wants to be seen and valued. When we perform music in front of others, we are inviting people to see the real us and experience something special along with us. Vulnerability can be scary and a beautiful and fulfilling experience.
Bella Musica wants to provide instruction and coaching to create confident performers, AND provide opportunities for them to perform. We strive to do this in a variety of ways.
Here is what’s on tap for this year…
Bella Musica After Hours
When: Friday, November 20, 2026 7:00 PM
Where: Bella Musica Studios
Vibe: Cozy and Casual (think coffee house at night)
Who: Studio Members and 1 or 2 fans (space is limited)
Bella Musica Performance Lab
When: Sunday, March 7, 2027 4:00 PM
Where: Bella Musica Studios
Vibe: Workshop – group learning – a space to try things out with other developing musicians
Who: Studio Members only. It’s a performance but with an emphasis on learning.
Bella Musica Sips and Songs
When: Saturday, May 22, 2027 7:00 PM
Where: TBD
Vibe: Polished, yet fun and intimate (think classy casual with mocktails)
Who: Studio Members and their fans
Please mark your calendars. If we put something on our schedule, we are more likely to commit. Make space for performing and practicing the art of confidently performing.
Please prioritize these opportunities. Performing isn’t just something that would be nice to if we have the time. It is a crucial element to gaining confidence as an artist.
